Environmental as well as climate protection requirements, in particular those for the tightness of exhaust systems, have necessitated a change in the design of exhaust systems both at sea (ships) and on land (combined heat and power plants). The previously known system according to DIN 86044-1/ DIN86072-1 is not technically capable of meeting the current requirements. The new system DIN 86044-2/DIN86072-2 makes it easy to achieve and implement the current requirements, e.g. also from VDI 2290.
