Application technology at the highest level
The experts of our application technology department support the customer in the design and calculation of flange connections. We provide answers to questions about the best gasket for a particular joint or the best possible bolt torque. We provide the mathematical verification of flange connections on apparatus and pipelines in all commercially available calculation programs such as TÜV-Dimy, PV-Elite and Compress as well as according to the Finite Element Method (FEM). We calculate and analyze bolt pre-stressing forces and tightening torques using standardized and certified methods and programs.
Thanks to several testing facilities (Technical Instructions on Air Quality Control – TA Luft, hardness, tensile force) we are experimentally able to simulate specific problems from the everyday life of a plant operator and to work on practical solutions. An Amtec test stand (up to 600 degrees Celsius) can be used to determine gasket characteristics, among other things.
For a customer-oriented full service, our application engineers cooperate with experts from Merseburg University of Applied Sciences (analytics) and Münster University of Applied Sciences (sealing technology). As we have almost all known gasket types and gasket geometries from our own production, we find the best solution for every sealing case. Regular training and further education in areas such as materials science, testing technology and assembly keep our employees up to date with the latest technology.
